Helen Hixon

Mrs. Hixon was born July 7, 1912, lived and raised her family in Everett.  She was the daughter of the late Howard and Anna Jane (Kimberling ) Clark.  On September 10, 1932, she married John F. Hixon Sr.   Mrs. Hixon died on December 24, 2001.

Mrs. Hixon was a member of the Yeager Memorial Lutheran  Church, and had owned and operated the former Railway Express Office in Everett.  She was a 1930 graduate of Everett High School, she wrote the high school's  Alma Mater. She also was a graduate of the Altoona School of Commerce. Mrs. Hixon was a charter member of the Everett Women's Club and member of the Bedford County Garden Club, Everett Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Everett Happy Senior Citizens.  She served as secretary of the Everett  Ministerium Association.   Mrs. Hixon was a respected and valued member of the Everett community.
